Ambient - Techno in a church Unrush presents Robert Babicz & Post Scriptum
03 November 2016 | 19.00 - 23.30 Uhr
Press release from 06 October 2016, Berlin On November 3rd, 2016 Unrush will present the first in-house event in collaboration with the KulturRaum Zwingli-Kirche inside the impressive space in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The main act consists of Cologne producer Robert Babicz previewing his new ambient album "A Moment Of Loud Silence ". Furthermore, Post Scriptum & Instruō perform an exclusive ambient live set for the first time, and Unrush founder and Tresor resident Mareena will open the evening with an ambient DJ Set. Aware of the increasingly fastpaced lifestyle that has become so ubiquitous, Unrush offers an island of relaxation away from the pulsating noise of the club. The architecture of Zwingli Church provides this and more with its appropriate acoustics and idyllic framework. After extensive restoration in 2007 the church reopened and now creates a forum for art, music, culture, and history. The church has since given various artists the opportunity to present themselves in a protected space. Unrush launched in May 2016 and has since published seven podcasts with a colorful spectrum of deep listening mixes (Ambient, Downtempo, Dub) as well as interviews with the respective artists to personal issues. Through this event online and offline worlds will now be united and a space for a common resting experience will come forth.

Artist info: Robert Babicz - also known as Rob Acid – has been long deemed one of the essential representatives of acid techno. In addition to the chirping TB-303 sound, Robert has also already produced ambient albums in the 90s, collaborating with Love Parade Co-founder Matthias Roeingh (as "Dicabor vs. Dr. Motte ") among others. After several years his new ambient album will arrive in October on the Cologne label TRAUM records, for which this appearance will act as the Berlin premiere.   Also presented on this evening will be the first performance of an ambient live collaboration between Post Scriptum & Instruō. Post Scriptum is a project which thrives on the anonymity of the artist. Emerging in 2015, he has established himself in the techno landscape within a very short period time. After a release on the label Ostgut Ton and shortly thereafter an album on Infrastructure New York, he was quickly booked up with performances across Europe including very well known clubs and festivals. For this special performance he will be accompanied by Instruō, otherwise known as Jason Lim. Jason has not only mastered six instruments perfectly, but has also additionally designed hardware for his own performances. This evening will be no exception.
